Kaytea is a San Francisco native, who studied as an undergraduate at the Florence Academy of Art (Italy), the Sichuan Academy of Arts and Peking University (China) and graduated from UC Santa Cruz, majoring East Asian Studies & Fine Arts. She earned her MBA from Presidio School of Management, with a focus on Sustainability.
As an entrepreneur, she has focused on sustainability and social equity, co-founding Neighborhood Fruit in 2009, and Aliensun Labs in 2014. Her work has been focused on storytelling, marketing and imagineering more equitable societies.
As an artist, she has been drawing and building things since she can remember. She spent her 20’s touring and performing with Cyclecide, a punk bicycle circus. Her comic book stories have been published in literary magazines, and she’s self-published six graphic novels.
